Finding Solutions for Creative Sign Designs

Creative Sign Designs is an architectural signage firm out of Tampa, and we were recently able to provide some custom solutions to help them manage their large prospect and client database. While the company has been in business for more than 25 years, it was only in the last five that they expanded into a full-service sign firm, which meant they needed a new way to handle their customer management as they ramped up the sales and marketing.
The company provides enterprise signage for large office buildings, hospitals, arenas, and resorts, and it stands out in the industry by offering everything from the initial design and engineering to the manufacturing, production, and installation of the sign. This kind of complete offering can create a lot more challenges for a business, and the company required a solution that would help them continue providing a high level of customer service while expanding their sales.
Looking for a New System
Creative Sign Designs does a lot of their marketing at tradeshows and other industry events, and over the years they built up a large database of information on all their clients and prospects. However, as the company expanded its services, it needed a better method to access all that data than simply using a spreadsheet.
The company was originally using ACT, but since it was an on-premises version, it limited the capabilities of their remote sales representatives and other employees. Creative Sign Designs started looking for a new system and chose Microsoft Dynamics Online CRM because it was an Internet-based solution that integrated with Microsoft Outlook.
In the end, this gave the sales team the freedom they needed to work from the road and they were quick to adopt the new system because it had such a familiar interface and was easy to use.
Understanding Business Needs
Creative Sign Designs needed a way to better predict revenues and extract important information to make better business decisions, but they didn’t necessarily need the entire application suite. They are looking to use the entire system eventually, but this way they were able to take control of their database and start making a bigger push with their marketing and sales efforts.
